Rainy River District School Board

Great Northern Controls is pleased to announce its brand new partnership with the Rainy River District School Board! We are excited to provide the board with all of their HVAC Automation, Energy Management and Access control needs. With our locally based operations we provide the board with customised automation solutions in a timely fashion which you just wont get with the other automation providers.

Our first project with the board was Donald Young School located in Emo Ontario. GNC seamlessly integrated with a newly installed Daikin VRV system along with providing controls for 2 gas fired boilers, circulating pumps, energy recovery ventilator as well as various fin tubed heaters and exhaust fans. GNC also provided a customised door access solution including a door lock-down button which in the event of an emergency, locks all doors and only provides access to emergency personnel.

Our second project with the board is Fort Frances High School. This massive building which provides education from middle school all the way to college is an excellent example of how GNC can not only supply automation solutions on a small scale but large ones as well. FFHS has over 150 devices installed alone!  The project boasts a combination of 15 air handling and rooftop fan units, 13 exhaust fans as well as 3 large gas fired boilers, circulating pumps and various other fin tubed heaters and variable air volume systems.
